Processing & Finishing
The most effective way of fabricating Metalquartz is with carbide tooling. Proper ventilation and filtration systems are essential when working with this material. Also, it is important to wear protective clothing, gloves and masks. This product contains epoxy resins which can cause allergic reactions.
Sanding or polishing this product is up to individual preference. It has been found that if sanded with too high of a grit, the material can start to lose the visual contrast of the opposing layers that give it the distinct appearance.
When finishing MQ, it is recommended to finish in 400 grit, giving the Quartz a more reflective quality. It is next recommended to apply two thin coats of a silicone impregnator that is commonly used for protecting stone surfaces. This should be followed by a coat of Renaissance wax. This process will help to prevent the material from collecting dirt and oil。

Order Status
After placing an order, you will receive an email confirmation. Orders are usually shipped within 10-14 days. Once shipped, you will get a tracking number by email and in your MetalQuartz account.
